Minshuku Aoiso
Traditional inn on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi

Overview
Minshuku Aoiso is a family-run traditional Japanese inn just steps from Lake Kawaguchi, with Mount Fuji visible from every guest room. Six electric-assist bikes are available on site — unlock yours through the bLink app when you arrive. Please register for the app in advance for a smooth start. If you need personal assistance, call bLink customer service (Takahashi, 090-8460-0209 — English OK). When registering, allow Bluetooth (Nearby devices) and Location permissions. Bikes must be returned to Minshuku Aoiso only.
Pricing
- Per hour — ¥600
- Up to 3 hours — ¥1,500 maximum
- Each additional hour after 3 hours — ¥600
- Daily maximum — ¥3,300
Rides shorter than 4 minutes are free — if you rent a bike by mistake, end the ride in the app with no charge. Planning a full day? Keep your ride active and do not press "End Ride" until you are finished; ending and starting a new ride resets the pricing. Check bike availability in the bLink app before you visit.
Access
Minshuku Aoiso is at 1297-1 Kodachi, Fujikawaguchiko-machi, Yamanashi Prefecture — about a 3-minute walk from Lake Kawaguchi and the Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge, and roughly 6 minutes on foot from Kawaguchiko Station. From Tokyo, take the JR Chūō Line to Ōtsuki, then transfer to the Fujikyuko Line to Kawaguchiko Station (about 2.5 hours from Shinjuku). Highway buses from Shinjuku and Tokyo Station also serve Kawaguchiko. On-site parking is available for cars and motorcycles.
Highlights
- Lake Kawaguchi — the largest of the Fuji Five Lakes, with classic views of Mount Fuji reflected on calm mornings
- Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge — a scenic crossing with open panoramas of the lake and Fuji; a dedicated cycle path runs alongside
- Oishi Park — a lakeside flower park and one of the most photographed Fuji viewpoints on the north shore
- Ubuyagasaki — a small cape near the bridge famous for "inverted Fuji" reflections on still water
- Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway — ascend Tenjō-yama for a sweeping aerial view over the lake and surrounding peaks
Tips
- The full lake loop is about 20 km and mostly flat — electric assist makes the bridge approaches and any headwinds much easier
- Cycling counterclockwise keeps you on the lakeside for the best open views of Mount Fuji
- Morning and winter mornings often offer the clearest Fuji views before clouds build in the afternoon
- For an all-day rental, leave your ride active in the app — do not tap "End Ride" until you are truly done
- Return your bike to Minshuku Aoiso; other rental points around the lake are not valid return locations for bLink
