Riku no Minato Seidan

Overview

Riku no Minato Seidan is a park-and-ride transit hub in southern Awaji Island, where express buses connect Kobe, Osaka, and Shikoku. Inside the facility you'll find Minami-Awaji City's cycle station — with electric sport bikes, city cycles, and standard bicycles for adults and children. Unlock your bike through the bLink app, or ask at the counter about rent-a-cycle (0799-36-4422, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.). The station also offers coin lockers, a free changing room, local souvenir shop, and eat-in space — a comfortable base for exploring Awaji on two wheels.

The first 10 minutes of each ride are free — use this grace period if you need to switch bikes or cancel a rental by mistake.

Access

Riku no Minato Seidan is at 443-1 Shichitatara, Minami-Awaji, Hyogo (〒656-0322) — about 5 minutes from the Seidan-Mihara interchange on the Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway. Express buses run from Maiko (Kobe), Sannomiya, and Osaka to the Seidan stop on site. Free parking for up to 264 vehicles makes it ideal as a park-and-ride base. From here you can cycle south toward the Naruto Strait and Fukura, or head north along the Awaichi route around Awaji Island.

• Whirlpool cruises from Fukura Port are tide-dependent — check schedules before planning your route south
• The west coast at sunset is spectacular; allow time to loop back before the rental desk closes at 7:00 p.m.
• A bicycle-friendly bus service can carry bikes between Minami-Awaji and Naruto if you want to skip the steepest section
